The 38-year-old actor-turned-race-car-driver was wandering through the Daytona International Speedway infield on Friday with no idea where to go. It was the latest round of confusion for Muniz, who had to wait until last week to announce his racing plans for 2024. Muniz, who competed in the entry-level ARCA Series last year, will try to make his Xfinity Series debut in the No. He led the ARCA Series points standings at times and finished fourth despite a number of mechanical issues late in the 20-race season. Muniz used a Hollywood head shot, complete with one hand resting on his chin, for the photo on his NASCAR credential.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Donald Trump amassed another win at a Republican caucus held Thursday in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where officials flouted several GOP party rules, including holding the contest earlier than allowed. The caucus is the third Republican contest held this election season with delegates at stake, with Trump receiving 73.98% of the votes and Nikki Haley 26.02%. In addition, any contest held before March 15 must award delegates proportionally, while the U.S. Virgin Islands did so via ranked-choice voting. “The Virgin Islands didn’t break any rules,” Ackley said. However, the Republican National Committee has said the U.S. Virgin Islands has four delegates.

“First in war — first in peace — and first in the hearts of his countrymen,” Lee wrote of Washington. Joe Biden is 81, the oldest president ever and one who is struggling with John Adams-level unpopularity. On Friday afternoon the US Supreme Court announced it would hear arguments on the case February 8. Trump responded by accusing Biden of “pathetic fearmongering.”It’s been three years since Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6. The name came from a letter Gordon sent to a friend explaining “how she, as a 350-pound woman, would like to be addressed.”“Just say fat,” Gordon reads from her essay in the film.

But ghost kitchens are now crashing. Ghost kitchens are stripped-down commercial kitchens with no dine-in option. Sometimes called cloud kitchens, dark kitchens or virtual kitchens, ghost kitchens fulfill online orders from delivery apps like Grubhub and Uber Eats. Ghost kitchens also offered big chains a way to test new menu concepts, items and brands at lower rents and with less labor. So restaurants have shut down their ghost kitchens and funding for the concept has dried up.

London CNN —A painting valued at $15,000 just two years ago is now expected to fetch up to $18 million at auction after being identified as the work of the Dutch master Rembrandt. Extensive tests revealed changes that Rembrandt had made to the painting. The examination, which involved x-rays and infrared imaging, as well as intensive discussions with leading Rembrandt scholars, led Sotheby’s to conclude the painting is “an autograph work by Rembrandt.” It now values the work at between £10 million and £15 million ($12.2 million-$18.3 million). Thereafter, the painting was “entirely overlooked and completely ignored in the Rembrandt literature,” according to Sothebys. “This sophisticated painting is in equal measure a product of Rembrandt’s brush and his intellect.

DE PERE, Wis. (AP) — John Gordon, an artist who as a young art student helped design the Green Bay Packers' distinctive “G” team logo, has died at age 83. Gordon died Saturday, said Matt Cotter, the owner of Cotter Funeral & Cremation Care in De Pere, Wisconsin. Within 24 hours, Gordon’s sketched design was approved and the Packers’ original logo was born. The original “G” as designed by Gordon was shaped like a football, but it has been modified over the years to the current oval “G." The US is still the biggest single IPO market. Further south, the year-to-date value of IPO deals on Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul has hit $2.3 billion, more than double the value of deals on the London Stock Exchange. Not a ‘pretty picture’The United Kingdom’s IPO market is in more profound trouble, and the loss of the Arm IPO to New York stung. He and an industrial designer named Colin Kelly came up with four prototypes called Splash Spots that have eye appeal. The Fire Department worries about low water pressure when hydrants are open, a potentially serious problem when a call comes in and fire trucks go out. Sprinkler caps, which firehouses can make available on request, cut the flow to 25 to 30 gallons a minute, by Kelly’s calculations. Splash Spots send out about half that, and unlike the Fire Department’s sprinkler caps, they can be turned on and off, saving even more when a sprinkler is not needed. “I was out for a run over the July 4 weekend, and I passed a street with a hydrant with a spray cap,” Gordon said.

London CNN —A rising number of British stores are using a facial recognition system powered by artificial intelligence to identify repeat shoplifters in what one human rights group has called the spread of “airport-style security” on the high street. Human rights groups say this type of technology flouts people’s right to privacy and often makes mistakes. Facewatch also retains shoppers’ data for only two weeks — half the amount of time a regular “CCTV” security camera in the UK typically stores footage. But Gordon is confident Facewatch’s system doesn’t have any bias and stresses that it is supported by human staff who’ve been trained in facial recognition. Last month, the European Parliament agreed to ban the use of real-time, AI-powered facial recognition technology in public spaces.

“So we just go with the hot guy.”Jokic is the engine that powers the Nuggets, but Gordon also called him “one of the most unselfish basketball players.” Jokic is averaging a triple-double in the playoffs, with 29.9 points, 13.2 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game. That happened on Saturday, in the Nuggets’ 119-108 win in Game 3 with the Lakers. Jokic had just 5 points and 2 rebounds at halftime, then got into foul trouble by committing his fourth less than halfway through the third quarter. That means somebody else has to step up.’ I think that’s something our team has done time and time again.”The Nuggets’ players have not just accepted roles that require them to defer to others, but embraced them in service of winning a championship. Jokic was the team’s only All-Star this year and no Nugget made an All-Defensive team; Jokic has never played with someone who made those teams while playing with him.
Located just three miles from The Masters venue, the historically Black district lay adjacent to Augusta Country Club. Eventually, many would hop across Rae’s Creek to begin work at Augusta National. A “good bag” at Augusta National would pay up to $5, Maben said, offering $20 for a particularly lucrative day’s labor. The 1983 Masters saw the first White caddies walk the greens at the major, with just 19 Black caddies on the bag, Clayton said. This year, the Lucy Craft Laney Museum will put the legacy of Augusta’s Black caddies – quite literally – center stage.

A lawyer for Johnson & Johnson’s subsidiary said in a statement that the company would seek a rehearing of the panel’s decision by the full 3rd Circuit court. Gordon’s strategy worked in bankruptcy court but set up J&J for failure when it faced the 3rd Circuit appeals panel. Gordon, at the bankruptcy conference, described the lawsuits as “completely unmanageable” and a dire threat to J&J that could go on for decades. The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals is expected to hear arguments in coming months on a challenge to the 3M subsidiary’s bankruptcy. The litigation, they asserted, should be allowed to proceed against Georgia-Pacific because the parent company did not file for bankruptcy.

WASHINGTON — A far-right extremist charged with aiding and abetting the theft of a laptop from Nancy Pelosi's office during the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, "led an army" towards the House Speaker's suite, prosecutors told jurors during closing arguments on Wednesday. Video features her encouraging rioters to take a laptop inside Pelosi's office, and urging the mob to push up against officers inside the Capitol rotunda. Williams, both prosecutors and the defense agreed, was obsessed with Nick Fuentes and his group the "Groypers," a far-right, white nationalist movement. To prosecutors, Williams was a leader who directed the mob. Williams was "surprised to be where she was" in Pelosi's office, Ulrich said.
But it was Ombachi’s mental health that would take a bigger hit than his broken leg. With the Sevens circuit canceled and the Kenya Rugby Union terminating his contract, Ombachi suddenly was once again stuck indoors and without an income. That is one of the chief reasons he is so open with his mental health struggles. Plenty of athletes and social media figures have used their platform to speak out about mental health and partner with organizations and charities to spread awareness. Ombachi supports that work, but he also sees an important role for those with public profiles to simply embrace their struggles with mental health.
Across the country, math scores saw their largest decreases ever. But while reading scores dipped, math scores plummeted by the largest margins in the history of the NAEP test, which began in 1969. Every region saw test scores slide, and every state saw declines in at least one subject. Several major districts saw test scores fall by more than 10 points. In fourth grade, Black and Hispanic students saw bigger decreases than white students, widening gaps that have persisted for decades.

Pugh, according to the lawsuit, was raised in Alabama during the Jim Crow era and retired from Detroit Public Schools after 36 years. Pugh ended up depositing the check at another corporate bank, Gordon said. And then they took her check,” Gordon said.
